About Our Community
What It is

The SciFi Tech Club is a book/movie club where we discuss the technology behind our favorite SciFi books.

We're a social group. Main rules:

  1. Don’t be a bore.
  1. Must love sci-fi 🤓
  1. The point is to have fun
  1. No hate speech / bullying
  1. Strong debate encouraged
  1. No schilling your company / product
How it Works

We have 2 types of sessions:

  1. Online Guest Speaker sessions - an expert joins us to discuss viability of the technology. Q&A format with speaker.
  1. Discussion clubs: Virtual or SF-based, traditional book club format - group discussion

We also:

  • Map out the Technology
  • Discuss in WhatsApp
Who We Are

The group is mostly tech people - product managers, engineers, AI researchers, and investors.

We all love sci-fi and wanted to dive into the technology and concepts behind our favorite books.

Today the group is about ~100 people, 50% in the Bay Area, rest global.
